Traffic Police high-handedness at Challan window troubles people, harms government

Aug 27, 2016

DCP Traffic Office, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon: While the new Police Commissioner Sandeep has taken the right steps and is working strictly towards improving traffic situation in Gurgaon by fining those who break traffic rules; the window of Traffic Police where the challans have to be paid remians high-handed like in the Virk days.

Not only are people talked to in very rude manner here, the miracles of opening and closing and excuses and brazenness of the police force is amazingly displayed.

The people are here to give challans and hence benefit the government but the traffic police is hell-bent to make it difficult for the government to receive any money and rather is creating a system where everyone has a sour taste in their mouth.

Today, on 27 August 2016, the challan window closed at 11:30 AM for lunch. And this is happening in broad day-light.

Gurgaon News note:

We will check upon the sitaution on Monday and Tuesday and if the situation doesn't improve - we will put the matter across to Police Commissioner on Wednesday.

If still the situation doesn't improve by 5th of November, we will escalate the matter to chief minister and make him aware of the situation.

DCP Traffic office,
